A few days ago our tribe, the Standing Rock Sioux, filed a lawsuit against the Army Corps of Engineers for effectively writing off our concerns about the Dakota Access Pipeline and ignoring the project’s impact on our home. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are working on this lawsuit, and continue our run to pressure the Army Corps to reverse their decision. Permit or no permit, we are continuing our relay run to D.C., and we’d love to see you there! On August 6th at 1 pm, we’ll be delivering your petition signatures to the White House, and we need as many people as possible to help us do it. Come help us carry petition signatures, listen to speakers, and share about the event on social media. You can learn more about the rally and RSVP on Facebook here: http://bit.ly/2axmANX If you’re not in the D.C. area don’t worry, we’ll have online actions you can take to help the campaign. More updates soon! Sincerely, Anna, Bobbi, and the Oceti Sakowin Youth
