In one month, we’ve grown our campaign to 100,000 strong. This is incredible. I never imagined that so many people – students, activists, artists – would be willing to support the youth of Standing Rock. I mean let’s be honest, oil pipelines can sometimes seem quite boring, but we’ve managed to create a community of people who understand that however boring they may seem, they can have a devastating impact on the communities they cross. mní wakȟáŋ kiŋ hé é uŋ wígli tkápa uŋčhíŋpi. (Water is sacred, we don’t want oil.) Since starting this campaign, oil pipelines are no longer boring to me – they are scary and dangerous.
