Yesterday, 90,000 gallons of crude oil spilled from a Shell oil facility into the Gulf of Mexico. Just last month, over 16,000 gallons of oil were spilled in South Dakota from the Keystone 1 pipeline, hurting local wildlife, polluting the water and risking the health of those who live nearby. We refuse to be next victims of the oil industry. Again and again they tell us that these pipelines are safe, but the news tell us otherwise. It’s not a matter of if the Dakota Access Pipeline leaks, it’s WHEN and WHERE. Let’s make sure the Army Corps knows that we won’t stand for this.
