There have been an alarming number of incidents involving trucks that are over 5 tons driving up and down Doreen Road, Roodekrans, with many more ignoring the specific weight limits in contravention of the Road Traffic Act on a daily basis.
It is only a matter of time before more lives are lost and serious injury and damage is caused by illegal trucks weighing more than 5 tons using Doreen Road.
This matter needs to be taken seriously and JMPD must take steps to address this unacceptable situation.
This is a petition to compel the authorities to take such steps as may be necessary to stop this illegal practice by truck drivers and to effectively enforce the existing legislation by all means possible.
