While we wait on the outcome of the 2017 provincial election lets take this time to remind the people who should have our best interests at heart that we want wholesale change in the way MSP is handled in this province. No other province has this regressive tax and it is time that those who govern BC sees that health care can be managed in a progressive way and not on the backs of those who can least afford it. This unfair regressive tax has been called “punitive, regressive, inefficient, administratively expensive and discriminatory.” "MSP premiums, often defended as a means of controlling health care costs through consciously making individuals aware that health care is not free, has failed ...." Unfortunately 65% of the revenue that the government collects is from regressive taxes and flat fees. We must change this course of action! While there are so many issues that are affecting British Columbians right now I thank you for taking the time to share this petition and have your friends and family sign. Without your dedication to this issue we would not have the 77,000 + signatures to date.
