On Sept. 25th, Governor Jim Justice released yet another version of the color-coded map reflecting the number of Covid-19 cases. Despite an increased number of cases and deaths, the map appears to show that the rate of infection is improving. This information is being misrepresented and altered to give a false sense of security to the public. The Harvard model, which is based on actual numbers, provides an honest, unbiased reflection of the Covid risk level. Meanwhile, the model being used in WV (at the governor's direction) is being manipulated in a dangerous, life-threatening manner. WV is in danger, and a false representation only makes matters worse. Every positive Covid case needs to be counted and reported as such. The people of WV deserve the truth, and we need to be provided with the REAL numbers and risks so that we are better able to protect ourselves. Tell Gov. Justice that his map should be based on the total number of actual cases. Tell him to stop manipulating the facts. Sign this petition to demand that WV's numbers be reflected accurately and honestly.
