Build a new Arts & Youth centre in Woodbridge

The Issue

Earlier this year, Woodbridge's only youth centre was condemned and subsequently demolished. We want to see this community resource rebuilt. A new building on the same site, 'Jetty Lane', would modernise and expand the facilities available in the original building.

In short, we're proposing a new building with facilities for community and youth groups to operate in as well as affordable artist studios.  Please sign this petition to show you support this project.

Arts and Youth sectors are currently under-provisioned in the town and with Woodbridge’s population set to increase, these are amenities we want to preserve and modernise, not lose.

We believe that Arts and Youth initiatives are natural bedfellows, sharing a very particular energy and capacity to inspire. There would be exciting opportunities to unite creative communities and young people in the town through workshops, activities and other forms of art engagement through this project.

With the town's population due to grow tremendously in the coming years, the creative and visual arts are a fantastic resource for bringing people together. Jetty Lane can act as a centre for these activities and attitudes of inclusivity.

Local youth charity Just42 has been completely displaced by the demolition of the original Youth Centre. Equally, 1st Woodbridge Scouts need somewhere to continue their activities within Woodbridge. Jetty Lane can be this space!

This is a really exciting and once in a lifetime opportunity for Woodbridge - please sign this petition and demonstrate your support!
