Now more that ever I need your help. It's simple and it's quick. Credit Card Surcharges are a ripoff. We ALL know that and so do most modern countries in the world. The Turnbull Government and the RBA are out of touch with reality! The RBA effectively announced this week that Credit Card Surcharges of 1 to 3.5% are ok. The result is in my view, a 'government sanctioned' surcharge on using your credit card that now ALL business will adopt! They have banned "excessive" surcharges as a result of the pressure this campaign I started 3 years ago has had, which is great news! Did you know there are only 4 companies in Australia guilty of these "excessive" surcharges that I am aware of? Qantas, Jetstar (owned by QANTAS and by far the worst offender), Virgin, Tiger (now a Virgin company), Cabcharge and Ticketek. Time will tell if they obey and remove them. I bet they don't btw. Today, $1.6bn is collected by surcharges in Australia by both government agencies and companies. Their noses squarely in the trough of greed. I predict over the next 5 years this will now escalate to $7-15bn due to this government legislation. That's right! $7-15bn filling the trough of greed. Credit card companies are NOT the benficiaries. It's both the banks and business. We need to make this an election issue! Vote for the banning of credit card surcharges by voting for the party that is willing to BAN CREDIT CARD SURCHARGES in Australia completely! I want them gone forever. Will you help me send a clear message to both major parties? Declare you will ban them completely and we will vote for you, otherwise we will vote against you!
