Yesterday was significant for two reasons:

Firstly, this petition, for my courageous and inspiring daughter Jess, received more than 300,000 signatures. I feel so proud of Jess and grateful to all of you for your incredible support. If we all met together, we would fill the space in Wembley Stadium 3 ½ times over. In taking the time to sign this petition you are demonstrating the strength of feeling there is for improving awareness and early diagnosis of cancer in young adults. You are making a difference.

Secondly, Simon and I met with eight other people, including the Chair of the Royal College of GPs, Professor Kamila Hawthorne, and leads in Primary Care and GP contracts from the DHSC. The meeting was positive. I shared Jess’ story and our calls for positive change in the future, as outlined in this petition. I will update you again soon with details from this meeting. Future meetings are planned.

In the meantime, if you have joined this petition recently thank you so much. Please share our campaign, your support is crucial and instrumental to its success.

To those of you who have been following for a while, please know you are making change happen and Jess would be so grateful.
