Us bikers feel that lane splitting should be allowed in NYC. There is sufficient space in between cars or along the side of the road for bikes to continue riding. During hot summer days our bikes get to temperatures of a whopping +230 degrees, making possibilities of the bike over heating along with uncomfortableness and possible dehydration. We feel that cops should focus more on getting these guns off the streets, and more vicious crimes that take place daily in NY and more now in areas where there is high volume of children around. Bikers range from, cops, lawyers, teachers, entrepreneurs, doctors, etc.. We are not gangs, we are just normal people who live normal lives and just enjoy riding our motorcycles. Lane splitting saves lives. And avoids riders being hit from behind by drivers, who drive carelessly or while on their phones. A speed limit should be set of approximately 20mph Please stop signalling us out with the bad riders vs us bikers! Bikers have families too!
