To align things chronologically: January 20th, 2014 was TSCC’s last day for a 100% refund period. I signed up for classes January 21st, 2014. With this being said, had TSCC made these dates available upon enrollment I would have waited a semester to to ensure my FAFSA was approved. This is where things get wild! February 7th, 2014 my FAFSA had been verified. At this point TSCC should have undoubtedly known I was eligible for aid. February 18th, 2014 TSCC’s Financial Aid Department used their Academic Calendar showing me their drop date and told me I was not going to be eligible for aid; if I dropped classes that day I would not be charged further payment. For some reason the school marked that I unenrolled February 19th. After finding out that TSCC should have had these dates openly available on the paperwork I signed, which is something Congress strongly believes in, I filed another appeal. Tomorrow I go to speak with Dr. Schumacher about this at TSCC. Updates to come. https://youtu.be/KWZ8VTGkAAA
