Le Tibet possède une histoire et une culture d’une richesse exceptionnelle. Pourtant, depuis l’invasion chinoise de 1949, la voix du peuple tibétain est réduite au silence.

Le gouvernement tibétain en exil, basé à Dharamsala, en Inde - représente un espoir vivant pour des milliers de Tibétain·ne·s à travers le monde. Il incarne la résistance pacifique, la préservation de l’identité tibétaine et l’aspiration à la liberté.

Aujourd’hui, plus de 150 000 Tibétain·ne·s vivent en exil, privés de leur droit fondamental à l’autodétermination. Il est urgent que la communauté internationale reconnaisse le gouvernement tibétain en exil comme un interlocuteur légitime et un acteur central dans la lutte pour les droits humains et la liberté du peuple tibétain.

Cette campagne citoyenne a pour but d’unir nos voix pour appeler à cette reconnaissance. C’est une première étape essentielle vers la justice, la dignité et le respect des droits fondamentaux du peuple tibétain.

Tibet has a rich and exceptional history and culture. Yet since the Chinese invasion of 1949, the voice of the Tibetan people has been silenced.

The Tibetan government-in-exile, based in Dharamsala, India – represents a living hope for thousands of Tibetans around the world. It embodies peaceful resistance, the preservation of Tibetan identity, and the aspiration for freedom.

Today, over 150,000 Tibetans live in exile, deprived of their fundamental right to self-determination. It is urgent that the international community recognize the Tibetan government-in-exile as a legitimate representative and a key actor in the struggle for human rights and the freedom of the Tibetan people.

This citizen campaign aims to unite our voices in calling for that recognition. It is a vital first step toward justice, dignity, and the respect of the fundamental rights of the Tibetan people.
