Greetings Friends, we raise our hands to you!

It’s been 18 months since we last updated you on Puyallup Tribe’s stand against PSE’s fracked gas LNG refinery in Tacoma, Washington. We’ve taken the fight off the streets and into the courtroom and we’re standing strong.

Just over a year ago the Puyallup Tribe and the non-profit law firm, Earth Justice, filed legal challenges against PSE’s fracked gas LNG refinery. The hearing is coming on April 2021.  We need your support in this critical time to shut this dangerous project down!

PSE’s dangerous fracked gas project has been vehemently opposed by the Puyallup Tribe and health and environmental advocates for years. We are determined that PSE’s illegally constructed 8-million gallon tank will NEVER hold fracked gas.

The Tribe continues to be frustrated that the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is not considering the appropriate science and putting dangerous impacts on an already disproportionately impacted community,” said David Z. Bean, chairman of the Puyallup Tribal Council. “Even more shocking to us is that this facility would operate in a densely populated urban area, and yet no authority has taken a serious look at the consequences of a catastrophic incident at this facility. That’s not just unfair to the people who live here–it’s dangerous.

YEHOW! is a Coastal Salish word meaning “That which can only be done together.” We stand with all Nations and communities standing against the destructive fossil fuel expansions of the Jordan Cove LNG terminal; the Kalama methanol terminal; Dakota Access Pipeline; Endbridge Line 3 pipeline; Keystone XL pipeline; Transmountain pipeline; LNG Canada gas export terminal and the associated Coastal GasLink gas pipeline; and others. We stand together to protect the land and water and build a sustainable future.

Hych'ka! Thank You!
