Puyallup Water Warriors & Redefine Tacoma
Feb 10, 2019

PSE continues to build their fracked gas LNG facility in the Port of Tacoma without all necessary permits. This is a climate-destroying fracked gas facility that is being built illegally upon Puyallup Tribal land without their consultation or consent and in direct violation of the Medicine Creek Treaty of 1854.

The Puyallup Tribe has asked the community to contact the City of Tacoma demanding that the City complete a new project impact statement (referred to as a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, or SEIS) for the safety of the people, lands and waters. Their goal is that at least 500 people take this action and we stand with the Tribe to achieve this!

With the recent court ruling against Tacoma on LNG safety records and the news of the Washington State Attorney General calling out the review of the PSE's Liquefied Natural Gas project as pure fiction, the Tribe is urging community members to reach out to the City of Tacoma to complete a new SEIS analysis because the scope of the project has changed significantly since proposed. Specifically, there are seven significant changes that demand this project be re-evaluated.

We need to make sure our city leaders hear us. Feel free to personalize the default letter with your concerns or send as is. Click here to send your letter to the City of Tacoma officials.

Thank you to 350 Tacoma and 350 Seattle for continuing to update and inform us on how to take action to stop PSE's disastrous project. YEHOW!
