This week the Washington State Democrats Legislative District 27 joined Tribes & Allies and passed a Resolution supporting the Puyallup Tribe in their stand against PSE’s fracked gas LNG facility on the Puyallup Estuary. The final vote was 39 to 9 and is especially significant because District 27 covers the Port of Tacoma and the surrounding area. This win is a clear sign that we are educating and helping leaders understand that fracked gas & LNG are NOT the innocuous green bridge they hoped.The support for the Puyallup Tribe and the community’s stand against PSE’s LNG facility has grown into a powerful collaboration.
