Tillson Lake, acquired by Minnewaska State Park in 2006 as part of a nearly 3000 acre acquisition, has been a magical lake for nearly 100 years. Recently because of new dam regulations, MInnewaska State Park, along with the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, has decided to drain the lake instead of fixing the dam, claiming a lack of funds. SaveTillsonLake.org is a grassroots organization whose goal is to help the PIPC find the funds to save this wonderful lake, and all the associated wildlife that make their home here.
