As the Cabinet meeting last night 7 people spoke in defence of the holistic service offered at Castlegate. Despite this the Cabinet voted to approve the proposals as they stand. This doesn't mean that it is the end of the process- members of other parties are 'calling in' the paper- which means that it will go before a scrutiny committee. Again there is a change for people to speak to elected members- we will tell you more about how to do this once we know when the meeting will be. Alongside this- once the petition reaches more than 1000 signature we can submit it and it will be debated by Full Council. So please do continue to tell people about the petition, the more signatures we get the stronger the case is. Thanks for your support.
