Thank you for your emails to the editor of the Sunday Times Style magazine and for your continued support. I recently received a reply from the Style editor Jackie Annesley to offer her assurance that fur will not be promoted on its fashion pages. She has obviously received a huge number of emails from the signatories of this petition and has responded positively. Her letter to me concludes: "As for fur, we do of course understand your concerns and we are grateful to you for having written to us. You can tell your supporters that you have my assurance that we do not shoot real fur, we will not shoot real fur and we do not promote its use in fashion. We should, however, be free to contribute to the controversy around it." I believe this is a very positive outcome and I would encourage supporters to email Jackie to thank her.
