In just a week we've got over 50,000 signatures in support of this campaign. I can't thank you all enough for standing by me to try to effect change in the promotion and glamorisation of real fur. I've been reading through as many of your comments as I can. Lots of you are prepared to boycott the Sunday Times while it continues to feature fur. Many people made the comment that they thought fur was illegal. Well, there may not be any fur farms left in the UK but unfortunately the rest of Europe (including Ireland), North America and of course China have fur farms aplenty. And, if you go on Ebay, you'll find a plethora of sellers dealing in real fur products. Also, many of you mention faux fur as an alternative. I was horrified to discover recently that some real fur is actually being labelled as faux! This is due to the fact that real fur can, in some cases, be produced more cheaply than fake fur and mislabelling occurs to try to fool those who would otherwise avoid real fur. So please only choose faux fur if you are 100% sure it's fake. If you are in any doubt then please avoid. Yes, it's a minefield!
