نحن الموقعون أدناه، نتوجه بهذه العريضة للمطالبة باعتماد علم الثورة السورية بصفته العلم الرسمي لجمهورية سوريا الجديدة، باعتباره يعكس تطلعات الشعب السوري وثورته ضد الظلم والاستبداد، ويجسد القيم التي يسعى لتحقيقها في سبيل بناء دولة ديمقراطية، حرة، وعادلة.

الأسس القانونية والأخلاقية لطلب التبديل

علم النظام السوري الحالي، الذي يمثل النظام الاستبدادي بقيادة بشار الأسد، لم يعد يمثل الشعب السوري الذي عانى لعقود من الظلم والاضطهاد. هذا العلم ارتبط بشكل مباشر بانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان، الجرائم ضد الإنسانية، والدمار الذي لحق بسوريا منذ عام 2011. وبالتالي، فإن الاحتفاظ به يُعد استمراراً لرمزية الاستبداد والديكتاتورية التي تسعى الثورة السورية للتخلص منها.

في المقابل، علم الثورة السورية أصبح رمزاً وطنياً يجسد الكرامة والحرية. تبني هذا العلم لا يعبر فقط عن تطلعات الشعب السوري نحو المستقبل، بل يعكس القيم التي تناضل الثورة من أجل تحقيقها: العدالة، الحرية، والوحدة الوطنية بعيداً عن أي استبداد.

تاريخ علم الثورة السورية وألوانه

علم الثورة السورية تم تبنيه في عام 2011 ليكون رمزاً للحرية ولثورة الشعب السوري. وهو مستوحى من العلم السوري الذي كان معتمداً قبل الانقلاب البعثي في عام 1963، مع تغييرات تعكس روح الثورة وأهدافها.

 • الألوان:

 • الأخضر: يمثل الحرية، الأمل، والطبيعة الخصبة لسوريا.

 • الأبيض: يرمز للسلام، النقاء، والتضحيات العظيمة للشعب السوري من أجل نيل حقوقه.

 • الأسود: يعبر عن الحقبة المظلمة التي عاشها الشعب السوري تحت الاستبداد، مع التأكيد على نهاية هذه المرحلة.

 • النجوم الثلاث الحمراء: ترمز إلى الوحدة والكرامة الوطنية، إضافةً إلى القيم التي تجمع مكونات الشعب السوري بمختلف أطيافه.

أهمية تبني علم الثورة السورية

 • الشرعية الشعبية: علم الثورة السورية أصبح العلم الذي يرفعه الملايين من السوريين في الداخل والخارج في جميع المحافل والتظاهرات، ليكون رمزاً لإرادة الشعب السوري الموحد.

 • قطع الصلة بالماضي: تغيير العلم يُعد خطوة رمزية وحقيقية لطي صفحة الاستبداد وبناء سوريا الجديدة.

 • تعزيز الهوية الوطنية: تبني علم الثورة يرسل رسالة للعالم أن سوريا اليوم تعبر عن شعبها الثائر، لا عن النظام الذي أذاقهم الويلات.

مطالبنا

بناءً على ما سبق، فإننا نطالب الجهات المعنية في كافة المحافل الدولية والإقليمية، إضافة إلى الهيئات والمنظمات السورية المعنية، بالاعتراف بعلم الثورة السورية بصفته العلم الرسمي للجمهورية السورية الجديدة. كما نحث على إزالة كافة الرموز المرتبطة بالنظام السوري الحالي من المحافل الرسمية، بما في ذلك العلم القديم، واستبدالها بما يعكس إرادة الشعب السوري الحر.

Petition to Replace the Old Syrian Flag with the Syrian Revolution Flag

To whom it may concern,

We, the undersigned, submit this petition to demand the adoption of the Syrian Revolution Flag as the official flag of the New Syrian Republic. This flag reflects the aspirations of the Syrian people and their revolution against oppression and tyranny. It embodies the values they strive for in building a democratic, free, and just state.

Legal and Moral Grounds for the Request

The current Syrian flag, which represents the authoritarian regime led by Bashar al-Assad, no longer symbolizes the Syrian people, who have endured decades of injustice and oppression. This flag is directly associated with human rights violations, crimes against humanity, and the destruction that Syria has suffered since 2011. Maintaining it perpetuates the symbolism of oppression and dictatorship that the Syrian revolution seeks to eliminate.

On the other hand, the Syrian Revolution Flag has become a national emblem that represents dignity and freedom. Adopting this flag not only reflects the Syrian people’s aspirations for the future but also embodies the values of justice, freedom, and national unity, far removed from any authoritarianism.

History of the Syrian Revolution Flag and Its Colors

The Syrian Revolution Flag was adopted in 2011 as a symbol of freedom and the people’s revolution. It draws inspiration from the Syrian flag that was in use prior to the Baathist coup in 1963, with changes that reflect the spirit and goals of the revolution.

 • Colors:

 • Green: Represents freedom, hope, and Syria’s fertile lands.

 • White: Symbolizes peace, purity, and the immense sacrifices made by the Syrian people to attain their rights.

 • Black: Reflects the dark era of oppression endured by Syrians under tyranny, emphasizing the end of this phase.

 • Three Red Stars: Represent unity, national dignity, and the values shared by the diverse components of the Syrian people.

The Importance of Adopting the Syrian Revolution Flag

 • Popular Legitimacy: The Syrian Revolution Flag is the flag raised by millions of Syrians both inside and outside the country in demonstrations and gatherings, serving as a symbol of the united will of the Syrian people.

 • Breaking with the Past: Changing the flag is a symbolic and practical step towards closing the chapter of tyranny and building a new Syria.

Our Demands

Based on the above, we call on all relevant parties in international and regional forums, as well as Syrian organizations and authorities, to recognize the Syrian Revolution Flag as the official flag of the New Syrian Republic. We also urge the removal of all symbols associated with the current regime from official representations, including the old flag, and their replacement with symbols that reflect the will of the free Syrian people.

By signing this petition, we reaffirm our commitment to the principles of the Syrian Revolution and our determination to establish a Syria that achieves justice and dignity for all its citizens.
