The New Conservative Party upholds several policies that reinforce the oppression of Māori and Pasifika. An example of this is the removal of funding for ethnic groups and the abolishment of Te Reo Māori in schools. They oppose members of the LGBTQ+ community and want to replace money for gender reassignment surgery with counselling. The New Conservative Party intends to increase sentences that are associated with cannabis offences, which is an indirect method of increasing the sentences of Māori and Pasifika who happen to be incarcerated for possession of marijuana.
