It's been 3 years since the inception of this petition, but I remain dedicated to it. As a current college student nearing graduation, I believe it has become ever more essential to push this to the finish line. I recently emailed Senator Kimberly A. Lightford, the Senate Majority Leader of Illinois. While it is unclear if she will take action, she has become aware that over 600 people seek change regarding Illinois' public education system. I will not give up, and I will continue to bring this up whenever I can. The representative of my district is also the Speaker of the Illinois House, and I will try to contact him as well
