Erik and Kyle Menendez went before the parole board separately, after a judge changed their sentence to 50 years with the chance of parole. Is that supposed to be a better deal? Both were denied. Claiming they were caught with cell phones, and why wouldn't they? Wasn't it bad enough that they were separated? Did they not deserve to talk to each other whenever they could to make sure each one was doing ok? And this story about a gang affiliation? When was this? When they first entered different prisons where they couldn't protect each other?  I could only imagine what horrible things they went through when they first got to jail.  I can because I've seen it myself first hand when I did time in a Florida DOC  25 years ago. Believe me, what they say about women inmates being much more vicious than the men inmates is a fact. These men were being sexually abused by their own father, and their mother not only knew about it, but she also allowed it!!! AND protected him instead of her children. As a child who has been through the same horrors, although I may be a female, there is no difference when it comes to sexual abuse. Parents are supposed to love and protect their children. Believe me, I thought about doing the same many times, but my grandparents saved me and took me away. But that pain remains. What they did was wrong, but it also wasn't fair that the evidence from the first court appearance was not being admissible in the second appearance, where they convicted them of murder was fair either. They lived silently in pain for many years. It's 2025, mental health, sexual abuse, PTSD, C-PTSD, all of these diseases are REAL! And people who suffer in silence shouldn't have to anymore. Erik and Lyle pose no harm to society, and the parole board knows it. What I'm asking is for people to sign this petition for Gov. Newsom to release them. Right now, he holds all the cards; he is the only person who has the power to allow them freedom. They've done their time, everything shows that they have changed, and although I don't understand why they feel remorse for what they did. I don't think they're father felt any remorse for what he was doing to his own sons. They pose no threat to society, and they have completely changed. Let's join together and let Gov. Newsom set the free would better his chance of running for President and winning, because if Trump can release the most evil men, which he claims are patriots, and his new friend P-Diddy, after we ALL know he did those disgusting things to those women and remain President, and nobody cares that he did it. Then we need to prove this would be excellent for his run for President. Let's get this petition going and get Erik and Kyle free while they still have some good years left.
