Petition updateIssue an Expert Irish Endometriosis Framework - let us have a National Inquiry

Irish Daily Star coverage - keeping our focus on care

Thank you to the Irish Daily Star for featuring my call for a National Endometriosis Inquiry in today’s newspaper, Monday, 12 October.

The article shares my own medical journey, including travelling from Kerry to emergency care in Cork last week, when no endometriosis staff were rostered on to respond to my emergency.

I am speaking about my own experiences. I do not claim to speak on behalf of every patient. My call for an inquiry, which I launched in March 2024, seeks accountability and improvements in care that could benefit patients across Ireland.

I will not be debating personal conflict online. I have made my position and boundaries clear in my article about online bullying:

Moving forward, my focus is on accessing the healthcare I need. Cneasú will continue to support awareness events and projects with the resources available to us. Our capacity is limited, but our commitment to meaningful work remains.

I am here for collective awareness. We can support the same goal while respecting different experiences, individual boundaries and the work already underway.

Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and supported this petition. Please continue sharing it through WhatsApp, your social platforms and your own networks.

The end goal remains a National Endometriosis Inquiry, accountability and better care.
