It has been over a year since olim and other Israelis have been able to unite with their families who live abroad. During this pandemic, we, Israeli citizens, did our part to social distance, follow government rules, and do our best to keep our community safe until numbers went down and vaccines became widely available.

During this time, olim have not been able to see their parents; pregnant women and new mothers have not been able to have their parents by their side; grandparents have passed away without being able to meet their grandchildren; families have not been able to attend weddings; countless olim, including lone soldiers, have suffered from depression due to not seeing family; and many Jewish people who do not have citizenship have been kept from entering the one and only Jewish homeland.

We are calling on the Israeli government to open Israel’s borders to parents of Israeli citizens, who live abroad and are vaccinated, regardless of the circumstance. Vaccinations are out and our numbers are down—Enough is enough! We are calling on the Israeli Government to open its borders to our families! We waited and did our part - now it is time for the government to do the same.
