TfL has now published its plans for this junction and the consultation is now live. You can view the plans and respond to the consultation here:-

Main points:-

a) This will be a huge improvement for pedestrians in the area, with new crossings at Holloway Road/Palmer Place/Drayton Park, AND Holloway Road/Liverpool Road; AND much better pedestrian crossings at Holloway Rd / Hornsey Street / Hornsey Road (i.e. by Holloway Rd tube).

b) The new crossings are "straight across" rather than staggered - i.e. no having to wait on a traffic island in the middle of the road.

c) If you're a driver or cyclist, the improvements to the Liverpool Rd/Holloway Rd and Holloway Rd/Palmer Place/Drayton Pk junctions should make things easier as you won't have to do the dangerous right hand turn in and out of Liverpool Rd any more, which is a nightmare at the moment.

The more positive responses the better - and the more likely we are to get the crossings ASAP!
