I worked 3 water plants and all 3 turbidimeters broke on the cfe
Hefner doesn’t actually have a cfe which is also illegal from the swtr surface water treatment rules because it says in it ur supposed to have a cfe but hefner does not. Anyways I argued / informed with 9 bosses at all 3 water plants because I knew immediately where to look for the law I presented it to my chiefs so they wouldn’t panic and overwork us freaking out on a night shift and panicking and sampling too frequently. A lot of people really aren’t familiar with design regs. Operators need more engineering experience or deq laws. Deq needs more operating experience idc about your degree and neither do the other operators. Theres a serious margin of miscommunication here and im tired of communicating it. I cant wait to see what I find at another water job or any water plant I ever care to tour again. Okc management would always panic and have us sample the cfe like every 15 minutes running up and down stairs all 12 hr shift when its only every 4 hours in lieu of continuous monitoring. Ur supposed to know these things when u upgrade to the current online process analyzers. I should have stamped the reg with a note on the units or something. But im always the bad guy any time I take any initiative.

Hefner is chlorinating bluff creek and its on the 303d impaired water act for ecoli
Hefner is supposed to dechlorinate their water before releasing it off of their property with sodium thiosulfate.
I witnessed it myself and will test it again the stuff is pink theres chlorine in it. Its no secret I address this to everyone
Its from the clearwell underdrains. They are on scada and cycle on and off and they are full of chlorine from the treated water.
When I sent this info to the deq in a letter they lied to me and said they didn’t find anything. I haven’t tested the chlorine from outside the property but it is pink hot chlorine inside the fence where it comes out from the drain at the lagoons in the pump house for the recovery building. It goes westbound to the creek and I believe the creek dissipates the rest of it biologically but its undue stress to the environment. I assume the deq draws the line at the fence? But as I stated before employees have a right to witness the conduct of a test. This is why I tested it myself. The unknown is where or how far down in to the hefner property is it being consumed by the environment.

Rob miller tells operators not to run certain tests and I tell rob and the operators where the laws are for levels of certification for running test and that they are competent in running the tests even if they weren’t they could be generally supervised and clearly isn’t what rob is doing he is so incompetent that he is just arbitrarily regulating new employees and it vexes our spirits. He can give new strangers and public citizens tours of the water plant but then tells our own certified operators not to run tests they are certified in and not to go into certain buildings we again are certified in with rmp risk management program training and they should know as bosses of the rmp that we know about the rmp. What the hell goes thru robs head and how the hell does a person like that rise to power makin 90g a year. One time he spent a few days like most of the week tinkering with a water pump that any mechanic would have fixed in 1 hour. He also flooded the entire sludge pump room while me and peja were operating and I knew to check it more often because we were both already suspicious of him being around messing something up and he did. He didn’t keep the sump on and ran a bunch of water hose so it flooded the whole room. Then it could have became an electricial hazard. Because that’s all there is down there is live power and it was all under water. I told peja about my electrical concern because it was highwater boot high like over a foot but peja went ahead and saved the day. I don’t know anything about electricity but it terrifies me and I respect its power but that is not an operators environment to be working in. rob miller could have killed peja sindjic. And I would have had to just watch it. And ill get to think about that for the rest of my life. They should actually have an sop for that. Who would risk their life just to spare themselves the trouble. Theres easily 10 – 20k volts of power down there that could have killed peja. Maybe 30k theres like 3 480 recirc pumps heaters fans outlets 30 valves. 6 sludge pumps. A sump or 2. Just so much power.
25. 252:641-15-4 dikes slope recovery building
Whoever built the recovery building didn’t apply the 3 to 1 max slope
They did however use a large aggregate that will stabilize more than the slope but the law is the law theyre not supposed to build a slope more than the max slope of 1 to 3. My issue with it is if I was okc I never would have commissioned it until they fixed it. The problem is the building will begin to fall apart from the wave energy of the waves over time. The cumulative effects over time of the slope will begin to disintegrate and the concrete will not be supported. The slope will equalize to that 3 to 1 max and the dirt will begin to washout under the recovery building. Inspector should have caught it. I knew as soon as I got to hefner. Because I read water laws. I love them. Theres so many beautiful things to connect in water law from engineering to operating but I don’t think many people get to appreciate them like I do because they haven’t seen both sides of the fence and then I come forward to share whats good like the bible tells me to and I get fired. Thanks Oklahoma. Like 30 engineers have any level of water licensing and its not even at a high level. 6000 operators 3000 water engineers. Only 30 engineers have any level of water licensure. And it’s a low level. I know because I mined all the data.

Sometimes shift supervisors verbally order operators go to like 10% recovery water rate or higher but I have warned other operators by asking is there a permit or something we are supposed to fill out or beware of not to go over the 10% rule of thumb? When I ask supervisors who direct me to go over it they don’t answer me and I tell them im not doing it unless they give it to me in writing then they never do so I have to email them myself because they wont. Then again they never answer me. Or take off work and leave. Its hilarious. And beyond human bias. It is not truly statistically random and is quantifiable. Especially during a grievance process. Theres like 6 or 7 people who coordinate and take off work so they are not present to be held accountable. Hey I found this its in the construction standards deq regs. 252:626-13-4. Lagoons (a) General. Lagoons used for the treatment of WTP waste shall be designed, permitted and constructed in accordance with OAC 252:656-11. What is the flowrate of the ventilation fan so we know that we are safe as operators.
How can operators be expected to keep checking the building if there isn’t any rates on the fan without violating our rights to exercise safety and retaliation for exercising safety.
28. 40 CFR 141.560 (c') 15 minute ntu monitoring vs silly meetings
I think rob screwed up and got everyone in trouble for not being on the same page as me when he gave some dumb orders for me cleaning after hours even though he told me to finish cleaning a press in like the last 20 minutes of a shift. Anyways they started to doing these mandatory meetings in the conference room at hefner and everyone hates them the chiefs just want to show up and do their job but the law also says we have to check the filter every 15 minutes. That’s my wording of it anyways the law doesn’t necessarily say that but we do have to know submitting monthly operational reports that no filter went above .15 ntu or .30 or whatever the law says okc makes up so many stupid rules I get my identities confused. Also stop telling okc to keep regulating outside of deq and federal water law if they haven’t frontiered any more research than the epa or the deq tell them to shut up with all the extra rules. Any licensed operator knows theirself what is better than federal regulations and in which quantitative direction with values. Operators at a minimum have to check filters every 15 minutes on scada. These silly inconvenient meetings exceed the 15 minutes every day. I like to get there 5 minutes early and leave 5 minutes early. Sometimes theyd go for half an hour with every single set of eyes in the room. Meaning no eyes were on the water quality of the plant at the plant. Management may claim theyre watching it but its like the largest acutely remote operated plant temporarily and it happens often. Its an extremely big weakness as a military defense. Prime opportunity. Oh this is also when people like to mess stuff up to “justify” overtime. Especially if its on overtime pay period weeks. Which can be quantified as either truly statistically random or human bias off the chart. I informed kelli of this and phillip martin asked me what I was so obsessed about others for. Almost before he finished his sentence I said NEGLIGENCE phillip. He just stares quietly. I cant tell how disgusting it makes me fell when I leave the plant and not person has left the room and the plant is perfectly fine. I gathered data on it first then informed kelli and told her the date to take note because the pattern will change as I changed a variable to their little system. What also doesn’t make sense is people who don’t even show up to the meeting 15 minutes early but stay for false overtime. It was honestly just an entertaining part o fmy day for chaos and to see the dumb things folks would say and who hates who and watch them interact.

Okc used to just write down “changes” whenever they made them on the lime in the notes section. I told shift supervisors and they changed it and added a designated column for lime ppm dosages. But again their labelling is ambiguous and not clear like law says to be. This is what ive been arguing for 3 years at hefner sludge facility. And every water plant I ever worked but no one listens to me. all of okcs xsheets are from authors in the 90s who are no longer present and were alcoholics and are dead or nowhere around. Then when I change things ppl freak out and assume things are ways for certain reasons but cant answer to me howcome things are the way they are. They are incompetent and don’t know their job plus if we really wanted to know we should just call the deq and ask but id rather know the law myself.. That way I wouldn’t have to waste 7 years at 3 water plants trying to find answers. Theres like 50 or 70 logbooks I wrote in about the silly wording on the books at all 3 water plants. Very many systems are just a hodge podge monkey see monkey do never question always be in a hurry don’t know what they are doing rush. They even added to the last job description for po2 to like question the status quo. When an operator position has like 4 or 5 clauses I added to it and is like 5 pages long or 7 it’s a bad sign. I used to think wow okc job applications are so organized and I still love neogov it’s the best appi have ever applied on but now I get it. I see through it all. There isn’t one water plant job description I have to read in the us because ill tell you. Its 40 ecfr 141. NPDWR.

I asked rob at least 3 times if I could take off work for poison ivy he never answered me and my feet didn’t work and I bled all over the water plant I couldn’t even sit in the meetings without ooze running down my legs I just sat there and oozed for 15 minutes while my pants became glued to my legs. I am sending very graphic photos I don’t care. MY LEGS LEAKED MORE THAN A PUMP EVERYONE WAS ACTING SO CONCERNED ABOUT OVER NOTHING. Ive worked in the oilfield and spilled whole locations with water. Ive spilled lagoons worth of water. It really pissed me off that people were more concerned about a pump that didn’t need fixed while I literally oozed a cup of urushiol that day. I didn’t know how to take care of poison ivy at that time either. I lost feeling in my leg the blood flow stopped working I had to take steroids and they make my back tight. Ive done this before but now im better at treating poison ivy as I have had it for a good year of my life cleaning bridges on the river so we can fish. Alcohol calahist and bleach calamine. And that was on my 33rd birthday. Doctor said it was systematic and spreading and that I am extremely sensitive to it. I also learned the roots are 100x stronger. It took 2 summers but I finally killed off a lot of it.

Also because there isn’t a cfe at hefner we have to wait like nearly 45 minutes to get a dang reading from the filters if there is ever an issue that’s a long time to be panicking waiting to determine whether or not turn water on or off. We need a quicker response time. At draper it didn’t take but like 15 minutes on any filter. You would get quicker results from readings because the cfe is placed much closer where it should be. Hefners cfe is technically a clearwell not a combined filter effluent. Its also not representative because there are many varying levels of elevation in the clearwell that buffer the reading its way misrepresented. Terrible sampling locations. Because of this I made my own turbidity calculator to determine what level of IFE ntu to turn off the water. Or divert from a clearwell. It also happened to come out to about that holy number again 3.33 ntu at x amount of flow or y amount of filters to breach a violation for the NTU after being buffered from the other filters. And i saved my work.

6/10/22 rob came out and asked me to please stop writing that he came out to the sludge facility.
I write when rob comes out because it is beyond reasonable and he gets paid 90g and he harasses us calls us nearly 30 times a shift and wastes okc time and then when he screws up the sump the whole sludge pump room clogged up with sludge and water because he left the water on peja was witness and we informed rob about robs mistake. thats why I keep records of him i wasnt even surprised because i called it and it happened. I think peja called it too. So when rob asks me to stop writing things he is asking me to not follow the law. I made it clear to him and his bosses he needs to stop harassing us and stay out of there because we don’t like him being there all the time. Management also asked me to stop writing this also. But if it affects the plant im gonna report it. Observance and occurences and events it says I believe.

okc pays water conservation coordinators nearly 70k a year to like save water I guess. Idk that’s cool but if okc was so concerned about saving water how about they tell okc to close the biggest leak in Oklahoma besides leaky dams. I kept shutting the decant valve at the bis basin inlet structure at draper and other operators would keep opening it because clearly many of them are fisherman and want to fish the lagoons but the technicality of it is that we were informed that okc is trying to abandon the permitting and if we discharge technically we need a permit. So either start charging okc for the permit or tell them to close the valve. If they want to discharge into lagoons then why buy a sludge facility.

35 Harassment rob miller. Rob had been informed multiple times to stop doing what he is doing to me and kept violating my rights willfully. He told me straight to my face he didn’t care that he is violating my rights. And that it is more important to do what he says. It sounds like he is in a strangehold with someone about little things. I cant even believe im typing this but there are extremely weird things I have observed working here and idk what goes on between these people but it sounds dark and connected like off work. south of the clearwells at draper there is an old covert operation for draining the clearwells and not getting chlorine into the road or the watershed so deq wouldn’t know about it. You can still see it on satellite. And the local farmer nearby frequents the plant often keeping a visual on it.

theres no mrq on the lime but youre also not supposed to change the ph of water ways either so how much lime is it going to take okc before anyone gets concerned about a fish kill or some wet WHOLE EFFLUENT TOXICITY testing of the waterway. The lime is spilling all over the place and leaching into bluff creek. It is very Oklahoman not to care about it. I have seen more Oklahoman things than that I haven’t reported to the deq because why care. The cleanup crews are on board with the energy operators. Big deal. Who wants work anyways.
38 microwave in lab are there any osha regs on not having microwaves in labs? I was told not to have an open cup in the lab but at the same time there is a microwave in the lab I don’t understand that logic. Soup or bowls aren’t much different than a cup. Not a big deal if we could just get more comfort in the lab instead of running so many tests that aren’t legally required. But I know things and im not afraid to use them especially when ive been told for years where to put a napkin or a hose.
39… offline turbidimeters for online filters at every water plant ive worked. I go out of my way to check turbidimeters for online filters and many of the times the filters are on but the turbidimeter is not flowing which is not representative and illegal. Okc needs checks on this at least once a WEEK OR shift 1st thing. Make sure all the turbidimeters are flowing. They need a paper form if it aint on paper it didn’t happen blah blah blah
40 violation trainess at work not being licensed
rob will give public citizens a free tour of the water plant then turn round and tell operators or trainees that they are not allowed to enter certain buildings because of a hazardous waste operation. Rob will also tell trainees and operators not to run certain tests when they are literally licensed and certified by the state to do so. Then on some night shifts you will see they worked Jennifer castner a few nights when she didn’t have the proper level of licensing. I believe the water lab operator at hefner calls for what a C water lab license idk maybe the deq will remember better than me but anyways I know it crossed my mind for a fact that they didn’t have the proper level of licensing and the level of licensing that they had required direct supervision. The shift supervisor isn’t present all night. So how can the lab operators be directly supervised if theyre not present? Audit the shift supervisors for the night you will probably find a bunch of office information indicating that they couldn’t have been with the lab operator all night and neither is the chief because if u know the chiefs job they dont stick around the lab to tender for them all shift. Chiefs are up in the watch tower. On some night shifts around when it started getting cool I think maybe September or something is when it happened. Night shift management put an unlicensed operator in the lab who was supposed to be under direct supervision and there wasn’t anyone around to directly supervise and I know because I could have sworn I heard someone say it that they ran the lab their selves that night like when we small talk at brief. Its when they say subtle things like this in my presence that I die inside because they don’t even seem to comprehend the laws theyre breaking. there are some operators who have licenses to run tests certified by the state. Rob miller will tell operators in front of everyone for them not to run the tests because they cant yet. I will literally tell them in front of rob that he is lying and its not true and send them directly the laws that rob is breaking and not to be diverted by him. I really cant believe the things that go through robs head it makes me very afraid to be anywhere near him. There were some shifts where he disappeared for the entire day which is highly unusual of him because he usually bugs all of us at least 10 times a day then when I text him he was in m y face in 1 minute he ran straight to me and his eyes were huge his pupils were dilated and he was being very talkative and I think he was on uppers or adderall or something. I could tell that maybe he could tell that I could tell he was being too attentive and I didn’t like him being in my face but I really hate trying to match his energy so much all the time I reported him again for being suspicious of drugs activity and then when I try and ask anyone with okc who to ask for drug testing no one answers me. He may have prescriptions but I sure didn’t feel safe and I find it really odd when okc has a policy that says to test under drug suspicion I suspect a boss but no one runs a test for me. Shouldn’t okc policy say who get to be suspicious of who when it comes to making the call of who to test for drugs or is that a 1 way street with management?
41 violation complaint crooked bearings alignment belts
I keep telling okc how to fix the alignment on the belts and alfa luval too but they keep leaving the bearings crooked when literally without getting into data science you can just visually observe the straightest belts in the building have the longest run times and they don’t break as often. The manuals say to fix crooked belts but no one with okc does. Also no one is tracking the hours to each belt to know the run times. If waller is the operators aren’t and they should. When belts break they need troubleshot and issues identified. Ur supposed to unroll the whole belt and look at how it wore out because I said so. The steer side of the cylinder wears out the belt more causing it to stretch more than the pivot side. This is why the steer side of the belt needs advanced on the seam so as it stretched more it actually becomes straighter and perpendicular as it stretches square. What okc does is mount them square and stretch them unperpendicular and everytime the belt breaks I unroll it and the steer side is stretched out. The pivot side almost doesn’t even stretch. It’s a very simple observation these presses go like 3 or 5 miles a day. They cover long distances. You have to be very straight with them. Its a lot like balancing tires. Its fun.
