Creator Rights Matter! Right now, digital creators 👩🏻‍🎤, innovators 👨🏽‍💻, and everyday users have no true protection over their work once it enters the internet. 😣 On Web2 platforms, ownership is vague. And with AI-generated photos, videos 🌁 and text flooding the internet, it’s becoming nearly impossible to tell what’s real 😵‍💫 , what’s stolen, or what actually belongs to you. 👀

ERC-7721 is the new ERC standard we're proposing, that fixes this by giving people the ability to cryptographically own and authenticate their identity, creations, ideas, and images. That way, attribution isn’t a debate, it’s a fact.
 The current NFT 🖼️ 🪙 and token standards (like ERC-721 and ERC-1155) were built for collectibles, trading, and speculation — not for immutability, authorship locks, credential verification, or protecting creators from extraction.

There is no dedicated Ethereum standard that:
* Locks authorship as undisputable and unalterable 
* Preserves attribution forever
* Prevents unauthorized replication
* Establishes a universal way to verify the origin of any digital work
* Bridges IP protection and blockchain coordination

 

In short: [Blockchain] is missing a public-goods ❤️👍🏼 standard for protecting creators from exploitation and coordination failures. ERC-7721 (Immutable Assets) exists to solve that.
