I know that's a LOT of hyperlinks, but this event can be valuable to those of you who don't know what you should be doing at this time as far as your lease goes. I know that there are some of you who are hesitant to end your leases due to the expensive lease break costs. However, this event can possibly provide you with more information as to how you can negotiate with your landlord one-on-one. For example, I was able to work out a 12-month lease break payment plan with my leasing office. I'm aware that you'll still be paying the fee and are only deferring the full payment, but this is what you can possible negotiate on for the time being. Just know, you aren't alone and that we are trying our best to campaign for statewide lease relief for all students living in off-campus housing.
