Hi all! 

This update serves to inform you that UCI student activists and I will be having a Zoom call with Irvine City Council member, Melissa Fox, as well as UCI professors from an organization known as UCI Mutual Aid. It’s great news that we have someone like Melissa Fox from the Irvine City Council supporting this cause. During the Zoom call meeting (which we plan to have tomorrow Friday, March 27), we will be discussing negotiations with Irvine Company to reduce their lease termination fee. I will update you all on what was discussed during the call as soon as I can. 

In the meantime, please refer to this link to put in a request to Irvine Company about any additional exceptions or considerations you may have regarding your lease. I spoke to a manager at the Harvard Cornell leasing office and they highly recommended expressing your concerns via the form. They said that they have people constantly checking and reading the form’s responses. It’s worth a try! 

As a reminder, you’re not alone in this situation. Irvine Company has expressed that they’ve received countless emails and phone calls from its residents about their concerns at this time. Please continue to voice your concerns and fill out the form (link provided above).
