“Iron city beer” sign changed to “Swift city beer” next weekend June 16-17 for TS in Pitt

The Issue

Iron City Beer has been a staple in the Pittsburgh community for over 150 years. However, as we approach the upcoming Taylor Swift concert on June 16-17, it is time for a change. We propose that Iron City Beer be temporarily changed to "Swift City Beer" for this event.

Taylor Swift is known for her love of craft beer and has even partnered with breweries in the past to create her own signature brews. By changing Iron City Beer to "Swift City Beer," we can show our support for Taylor and give concert-goers a unique experience.

Furthermore, this name change could also bring economic benefits to the city. According to a study by Nielsen, music festival attendees spend an average of $207 per day on food and beverages alone. By offering "Swift City Beer," local businesses could potentially see an increase in sales during the weekend of the concert.

We understand that Iron City Beer holds sentimental value for many Pittsburgh residents, but this temporary name change would only be in effect for one weekend and would not affect the overall brand identity of Iron City Beer.
