All we want is Fairness.

Hi  All Irish Green TDs who lost their seats in the Irish Parliament,

40,000 who signed this petition did not vote for you because you did not legislate to deliver "fairness" in the Irish Motor Tax system. This is NOT a Just Transition to a Green Economy.

We still pay €636 Motor Tax each year since 2008 (on a humble Honda Civic) after you introduced the new Motor Tax rates in 2008 and did not leave the existing cars at their old rates like they did in the UK in 2004.

Most owners of pre 2009 Irish cars are low income groups and pensioners who will not Vote for you until you fix the Irish Motor Tax system and deliver Fairness. No Social Justice here! - see Turky for a fair system!

Other Unfair Irish laws and issues you did nothing about are :-

-  Unfair Irish Healthcare System:  2 Tier Waiting Lists. 
Private patients getting preferential healthcare using publicly funded hospitals and resources.

- Referendum on Housing without which NO ONE can solve the "Affordable Homes Crisis". ...see French, German, Swedish Constitutions. Unfair on all those who want to buy their own homes.

- LPT : You cannot tax basic needs like Family Homes. Same as food, water, "shelter", medicines, education, healthcare etc. Unfair tax on fundamental needs. Ask any Economist.

- No tax on Jet Fuel (no VAT, no Excise duty, no NORA levy), while you increase tax on transport fuels to get to work. OR Tanker fuel, OR Cruise Ship fuel. Irresponsibe. Unfair. Daft.

 

- VAT on homes: One signatory paid €53,350 VAT to your Government on their new house. There is NO VAT on homes in any other countries. This is not only unfair, it is obscene and oppressive and abuse of young Irish people.

 

- Inheritance tax: Abolished in Sweden. An unfair odious legacy tax. An attack on families at their most vulnerable. Get rid.

- Cull the Beef Herd: This is pure Daft stuff. Irish Ag feeds 44 Million people not just 4 Million Irish. The EU metric for green house gas emissions is badly flawed. It is like assigning all the fossil fuel we burn in EU to Saudi Arabia!. Educate the Metric novices in the EU. Reject this metric. It is the work of ametuers. Reject the fines.

{Fianna Fail and Fine Gael also win barely 20% of electoral support (1 in 5 voters) because of blatent "unfairness" in their policies.}

[.. remember there are sane responsible adults in the Irish Electorate who can now mobilise mass reaction to unfair legislation with consequential impact on political parties and TDs who choose not to listen!  (and the Democratic system itself) ]
