The Riverside Park Hotel in County Wexford is being urged to stop advertising at Enniscorthy greyhound stadium where, over the past 10 years, 214 greyhounds suffered injuries and 64 were killed.

A hotel advertisement sign is currently on prominent display at the side of the track.

Meanwhile, a Riverside Park Hotel “Explore Wexford” brochure promotes a visit to the track as a thing to do while in the area, describing it as “a great night for the whole family”. The hotel invites guests to come to reception for discounts on track entry.

Families who follow the hotel’s recommendation and go to the track may witness dogs suffering painful injuries and crying out in pain.

Among the victims at Enniscorthy track were 28 greyhounds injured and 10 killed last year. Their injuries included broken leg/toe/hock/wrist, bleeding foot, fractured metatarsal and fractured tail.

We hope the Riverside Park Hotel will show compassion and join the many other businesses who have rejected greyhound racing, e.g. Toyota Ireland, Opel Ireland, Heineken Ireland/Murphy's, Eir Sport, Tesco Ireland, Electric Ireland, Applegreen, Barry's Tea, Hyde Irish Whiskey, Galway Crystal, FBD Insurance, In Your Pocket City Guides, Air France, Botanica International, Voucher Cloud, Permanent TSB, Tramore.ie, Maldron Hotels, Clayton Hotels, North Star Hotel Dublin, Metropole Hotel Cork, Treacy's Hotel Waterford, Dublin Bus, FFT (Official Publication of the Restaurants Association of Ireland), etc.

ACTION ALERT

Join us in appealing to The Riverside Park Hotel  to stop supporting dog-killing greyhound racing.
