Many people in Ireland suffer unbearably every day whether its with terminal illnesses such as Cancer, AIDS, Alzheimer’s Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Cardiomyopathy, Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Dementia, Emphysema, Heart Disease, Liver Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Renal or Respiratory/Pulmonary disease, and Stroke or a Mental Illness like Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Eating Disorders and Addictive Disorders. Most if not all these illnesses can eventually lead to death & more often than not they are not painless deaths. That is why i believe Euthanasia aka Assisted Suicide should be legalized here in Ireland. It is legal for sufferers in Switzerland, some parts of the Netherlands & some parts of America to be euthanized. I don't see why it should not be legal here aswell, why should people have to go on suffering unbearably in their life when they could just go to sleep peacefully? I do hope others will agree with me & support this petition. I myself don't want to go on anymore & would like to be euthanized, i feel like my brain is LITERALLY suffocating, damaged, poisoned & like someone is squeezing it with a vicegrip! Its like someone poured acid over it! I have to put a cold mask on it to soothe it. I have not been myself for a very long time, i don't feel happy anymore. I just get angry, frustrated & i cry. I'm also so tired & am in pain in some places of my body especially my back & my spine. I don't feel like i have a life worth living anymore. I have been battling depression for many years & i also have been on antidepressants for many years & tried to get off them but without success. Please help & support my petition.
