Iraq:Thousands of Iraqi prisoners of war from the 1980 war betweeIraq and Iran and the golf war in the 1990 war have been detained by Iran in its prisons for 45 years. Iran has issued civil rulings against them in order to protect itself from international accountability, since de detained prisoners for decades and not returning them to their homeland and families constitutes a crime of genocide that violates international conventions and norms, according to the 1949 Geneva Convention.

We, the families of the prisoners, demand the release of the Iraqi prisoners detained in Iran

العراق: لا يزال آلاف الأسرى العراقيين من حرب عام 1980 بين العراق وإيران، وحرب الخليج عام 1990، محتجزين في سجون إيران منذ 45 عامًا. وقد أصدرت إيران أحكامًا مدنية بحقهم لحماية نفسها من المساءلة الدولية، إذ يُعدّ احتجاز الأسرى لعقود طويلة وعدم إعادتهم إلى وطنهم وعائلاتهم جريمة إبادة جماعية تُخالف الاتفاقيات والأعراف الدولية، وفقًا لاتفاقية جنيف لعام 1949.
