This is an update on the financials related to the Utsavs held in Udvada, how no financial benefits accrue to Iranshah Atashbehram from proceeds of these Utsavs, and benefits to Udvada town do not match with the funds generated from the Utsavs.

DONOR STILL BEWARE
The Tamboly-Khurshed duo, in their joint press release that appeared in the Parsi Times dated 18th January, 2025 have claimed to lay bare facts about the IUU. However, their response is filled with factual inaccuracies (Arzan Sam Wadia please note), half-truths and outright lies.
In the past, when concerns were raised that the Udvada Samast Anjuman had not received a single paisa from the "Iranshah" Utsavs, Tamboly (in an email dated 15/12/2019) was quick to dismiss these as "incorrect conclusions reached by those who judge others by their aspirations and everyone else by their conduct".
However, this time, none other than the sitting President of the Udvada Athornan and Samast Anjumans, Vada Dasturji Tehemton Mirza stated that no money was ever received by either trust from any of the "Iranshah" Utsavs. This struck a deadly blow to the duos credibility and necessitated more elaborate damage control measures.
The crux of the duo’s rebuttal, if it can be called that, is that no individual or institution has a patent on the use of the word “Iranshah” and that they have not explicitly written that the funds are raised for Iranshah; and yes, it is the new members of the Udvada Samast Anjuman committee (read Vada Dasturji Tehemton Mirza) who are spreading lies and disrupting the serenity.
Of course, nobody has a copyright on “Iranshah” and nobody has claimed that. Rather, the point is that the Tamboly-Khurshed duo has craftly exploited just that! Used “Iranshah” in the Utsav’s name, used the Iranshah building in the Utsav’s promos, and thereby linked the utsavs’ to “Iranshah”. If they didn’t plan on giving a single paisa for Iranshah’s upkeep, what was the purpose of doing so; other than to garner Parsi donations under false pretences? More importantly, why did Tamboly not state this in his email dated 15/12/2019? What caused "incorrect conclusions" to morph into lack of a patent?
What is worse, and rather shameless on their part, is their personal attack on Vada Dasturji Tehemton Mirza for having the courage to openly state that no money from any “Iranshah” Utsavs has been received for the welfare and upkeep of Iranshah. They have brazenly stated that he (new committee member) has spread unfounded rumours about FDU and disrupted the serenity with which the committee functions. Leave aside justification, how is that even an excuse for the duos’ duplicity? Why did they not give funds to “Iranshah” or the Udvada Samast Anjuman from the “Iranshah” Utsavs when Dasturji Mirza was not on the committee? In Tamboly's own words (email dated 15/12/2019), "those who speak ill about others only end up condemning themselves".
Despite the Tamboly-Khurshed duo’s claims, there is no police station in Udvada. The CCTV cameras do not work. Money from the sale of sandalwood and kathis in the Iranshah complex goes to Vada Dasturji Khurshed Dastoor’s personal account only and not to Iranshah. The statements around work done by WZO are irrelevant to the issue of misappropriation of “Iranshah” money and are a lame attempt to misdirect attention away from the same.
From the tens of crores of rupees collected by the duo for a decade in “Iranshah” utsavs, i.e. in Iranshah’s name, nothing, not a single paisa, was given for the welfare and upkeep of Iranshah. This fact remains undisputed. Money from four “Iranshah” utsavs was spent on giving some books, buying one ambulance and redoing a roof. Tens of crores collected were used for just this? Clearly the numbers don’t (and never will) add up; which is why they have not given any numbers!
These are bare facts opposed to the Tamboly-Khurshed duo’s clarification. It is for them to decide whether they choose to come back to the path of light, or continue forth in the darkness of destructive selfishness. Meanwhile, all we can say is that DONOR STILL BEWARE.

For a number of years I reminded my fellow Humdeens about the advertisements run by Khurshed of Udvada. Finally, once again, time has proven me right.
