To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to provide an urgent update regarding Maneli's petition. Her life history, especially her childhood, has been marked by immense difficulties. She suffered from sexual and physical abuse perpetrated by her own uncle, a burden that forced her into silence. However, I am pleased to share that after eight arduous months, Maneli has received a positive response, despite enduring a period of homelessness.
Through numerous consultations with her psychiatrist, that Maneli is suffering mentally, but she is openly welcoming a caring family to help her get better by being supported. As a trans individual, she faced numerous challenges and has experienced the pain of feeling different. Now, Maneli believes that finding a suitable family will enable her to overcome the lingering memories of her past and build a new life under better circumstances.
It is crucial to acknowledge that Maneli is currently in a difficult situation regarding food and basic needs. She struggles to meet her basic nutritional needs and experiences hunger regularly.
At 21 years old, Maneli still grapples with nightmares and paranoia from the abusive family. In these haunting dreams, she envisions her uncle's attacks and her uncles and father threatening her life. Regrettably, despite eight months passing, she has yet to fully address these issues. Her psychologist assures her that her response is normal and that the matter of guardianship may help pave the way for a resolution. Throughout her life, Maneli has yearned for the simple joys and happiness enjoyed by other children. Now, she places her hopes in unity and solidarity to improve her circumstances.
Moreover, I must urgently bring to your attention that Maneli faces the imminent risk of losing her current residence due to financial constraints. She currently resides in a shared eight-bed room, and her inability to pay rent places her at high risk of homelessness, especially with the approaching winter months.
I implore you to consider the hardship of Maneli's situation and the urgency for support. By sharing her story and seeking assistance, she strives to find a loving and supportive family that can offer the care and stability she desperately needs.
Thank you for your consideration of this update. Maneli looks forward to your response, as it signifies the potential for a brighter future.
