Interesting development

I have been pretty vocal about alliant and things they have done beyond the rate increase. I thought I had my account current when I had a credit on my account for me that was a happy day! I actually posted on fb because living on a very limited income i have been working to get my account up to date. I then get a bill that was outlandishly high so I started looking and they were charging me an extra $60.00 a month listed as miscellaneous charges. I called only to have my heart sink when I found out that even though I had been paying in full and had a sizable credit two months before I still owed them back payments. So basically they were telling me I owed them money and they owed me money at the same time. They informed me that any extra that had been paid towards my bill did not remove the balance I had set up a payment arrangement for. It is different than budget billing because they take what you owe and spread it out over a year. I use online billing and the way it was set up it didn't show that balance. Today I checked my bank account and my alliant payment was taken out twice. I called the bank and now I have to wait for the payment to clear and then I can file a dispute which I should be able to do tomorrow. I am starting to feel like they don't approve of me speaking out against them. I've never had this happen before and it doesn't make sense that if my payment cleared yesterday they would take it out again today. It could be a complete fluke but the timing is interesting! Please encourage everyone to sign this so that I am not putting myself out there for no reason!
