Thank you for your ongoing support of the State Historical Society of Iowa (SHSI) research collections. The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs (which oversees SHSI) and the University of Iowa Libraries have jointly hired an outside consultant to assess the state of the SHSI collections in Iowa City. The consultant is Timothy Ericson, Retired Archivist and Senior Lecturer Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As he prepares his report, Mr. Ericson is gathering personal testimony from patrons. If you have visited the SHSI Iowa City Research Center, we urge you to send a short message to Mr. Ericson describing the value of the collections to your research, how you have used them, and the ease or difficulty you have had in accessing them.
