Issei Noro's exceptional guitar skills, central to the band's ever-changing four-person formation, have given life to a one-of-a-kind phenomenon that has captivated audiences from the Budokan arena to the Montreux Festival, and from London to Los Angeles.; Issei, alongside numerous keyboardists, bassists, and drummers, has introduced countless music lovers to the world of jazz and, in particular, jazz fusion over the past five decades. It exposed us to skilful, passionate, creative performances which undoubtedly expanded and refined our musical horizons. Moreover, their music inspired countless musicians in their endeavour to master their captivating songs.
As we all know, however, it's been almost two decades since Casiopea has performed in the western world. The lack of their musical influence in real-time concerts outside Japanese territory leaves an undeniable void in the jazz scene. Given the profound impact of their music, and the enormous number of fans the group has gained over the years, it is essential that they return to western touring.
We appeal to band members, organizers and fans alike to consider arranging for the band's re-emergence on the Western music scene. This recall is more than a desire; it's a plea from all jazz fusion enthusiasts, both long-time fans and newcomers to one of the most eclectic musical genres, longing for the opportunity to experience Casiopea live, to be witnesses to their talent, to remember the good old times when this group of talented people was an international sensation.
