Investigate Whether Nigel Farage's Public Statements Breach UK Hate Speech Laws

The Issue

Britain is better than hatred.

Our country has been built by people of every colour, background, faith and nationality. Our grandparents and great-grandparents fought to defend freedom, democracy and the principle that all citizens should be equal before the law.

Today, many people are deeply concerned that increasingly inflammatory political rhetoric is fuelling division, hostility and fear within our communities.

Those concerns do not disappear simply because the person speaking is a powerful politician.

Nigel Farage has repeatedly made statements about immigration, identity and minority communities that many believe contribute to an atmosphere of hostility and prejudice. While freedom of speech is fundamental to democracy, it does not place anyone above scrutiny when legitimate questions arise about the impact of their words.

This petition does not ask for special treatment. It asks for equal treatment.

We are calling on the relevant authorities to review whether any public statements made by Nigel Farage may warrant investigation under existing UK legislation relating to hate speech, incitement, or the stirring up of racial or religious hatred.

The law should apply equally to everyone, whether they are a private citizen or a nationally known political figure.

If you believe that public figures should be held accountable for the consequences of their words, please sign and share this petition.
