We, the voting citizens of Winslow who have signed this petition, are urging the Attorney General of the State of Maine, Maine Human Rights Commission, Secretary of State, or any other state agency with power to do so, to investigate actions taken by the Winslow town council since January, 2024. Various council members have engaged in behavior and actions that the concerned signatories of this petition believe to be harmful to the community and possibly illegal. The resignation of a previous town manager and subsequent appointment of a late applicant - who was not recommended to be interviewed by the Maine Municipal Association, but was subsequently appointed to the role - is one of many concerns. The recent resignations of two council members who opposed this appointment and other activities is indicative of a larger problem that the citizens of Winslow would urge the State to consider investigating.

*Signatures will be collected, verified, and sent to several Maine State agencies to urge them to investigate the Winslow Town Council.
