Sean Phillips- This is the USPS Inspector who has investigated our office since 2022. He actively participated in interrogating and investigating me over Jennifer Torraco's and Robert Mangarell's false lies about me in 2022. I told him that I was the one being ganged up on in this office by Jennifer Torraco, Robert Mangarell and Mary Goodhile. He told me on 3 occasions it "wasn't his job" to investigate harassment. So he was never once willing to investigate any of my complaints but he had no problem participating in Jennifer Torraco's witch hunt of me or questioning me on Robert Mangarell's lie that I threw a parcel at his head.
I'll give him credit where credit is due. The first investigation he noted that he thought I was being harassed by the allegations being thrown at me. So my question is why did this USPS Inspector not do anything either himself or to report the harassment to the right authority? Who knows maybe I'm wrong maybe he did maybe he did not but the harassment and witch hunt has continued until this day and I'm sure in 2022 he had the authority to put an end to the harassment. He also conducted a background check not only on myself but on Dana Yaglowsk in 2023 after her first Emergency Placement of me.
I was getting tired of the countless unwarranted interrogations and investigations by this USPS inspector. He actually performed an unknown number of background checks on me as well due to the countless lies about me. He would show up on my route constantly, uninvited. One day he showed up. I told him I was not speaking to him without a union representative present. His answer was "if you refuse to answer my questions you'll be in violation of the ELM (employee labor manual) and it'll be seen as you interfering in an investigation". I was forced to answer his questions without a union representative present. He was found to have violated my Weingarten rights and the NALC gave him a slap on the wrist for it.
His investigations continued during Dana Yaglowski's 1st Emergency Placement in which she lied that I threatened her. USPS Inspectors are masters of intimidation and they try to get you to say the wrong thing. After telling him several times that I never pushed Jennifer Torraco, he would ask me if any part of my clothing or my lunch bag touched her? They ask the same repetitive questions to try to see if you're lying or your story changes. Basically they are there to protect the agency not the employee. I've spoken with other USPS employees who say the USPS inspectors ignore their complaints constantly.
The USPS harassment hotline tells you to go to a manager and if you can't go to a manager contact a USPS Inspector. So it's odd I was told by him harassment is not his job. He says he only deals with "violence in the workplace". My grievance representative, Chad Dreisbach, told me that it's true, it is not his job to deal with harassment. Well Chad Dreisbach never did 1 thing for me when dealing with harassment either. That'll be explained in Part 3. In my case since 2022 nothing was ever done to help me by USPS inspector Sean Phillips.
I told inspector Phillips about Mary Goodhile drinking on the job. Another witness also told him about her drinking and this same witness told inspector Phillips that everyone in this office should be drug tested because it was under the suspicion that some people were coming into work under the influence of drugs. Oddly, the alcohol and drugs comments were left out of Inspector Sean Phillips' reports.
Inspector Phillips interviewed me this year after I made a complaint about Gary Gentile, a lunatic customer of mine, making false accusations about me and other carriers in my office. I told him how I reported him cursing me out at my cluster box to the Jim Thorpe police department and they told me next time it happened they would come over and take care of it. When I told this to Inspector Phillips, he told me if I contacted the police on a customer it would be seen as "me starting a confrontation with the customer". A week later he showed up on my route again. I had him video recorded because I knew he gave me false information and was putting my safety at risk with this comment of his. He would not admit on video what he said to me privately in the office that day and did a 180 stating "of course you can call the police".
His salary is not listed online. I do not know what other kinds of investigations this Inspector does but for the pathetic investigations he did at the Jim Thorpe post office over the course of 3 years I am certain he is way overpaid!
