ROBERT MANGARELL- I have never hated a coworker more than this animal. I won't even resort to calling him a human being because I have never had a coworker try to make my life more of a living hell than he did for a year and a half at the Jim Thorpe post office.
My first month at the Jim Thorpe post office I was told by Postmaster Jennifer Torraco that Robert Mangarell not only wanted to become a regular but he also wanted my route that I was on. He is known for having an extremely bad temper and within my first month at the Jim Thorpe post office, he cursed me out for no reason at all. One of his friends apologized to me for his behavior but this same friend continually covered up for his behavior at the Jim Thorpe post office towards me. I witnessed Robert Mangarell come into work several times in a bad mood and a few times he would kick things around, yell and curse. But most often his intention at the office was to start an argument with me and he did so on almost a daily basis, knowing he had the backing of Postmaster Jennifer Torraco. When I chose to defend myself, he would proceed to yell and curse at me relentlessly. It was as if he thought he was going to abuse me and I would have no right to defend myself.
One day he lied about me throwing a parcel at his head. He cursed me out loud in the office and proceeded to kick my parcel so hard it flew all the way across the office. Postmaster Torraco never investigated the incident but reported his lie to USPS Inspectors. I was interrogated by USPS inspector Sean Phillips over this lie.
In December of 2022 after starting another argument with me at the office, I found out not only was he ill tempered but he was a lunatic. Just a few years earlier he had threatened to murder customers on my route. Yes he actually threatened to murder people and to my knowledge was never investigated over this. He never showed up to work again after I handed a copy of those murder threats to the new Postmaster, Dana Yaglowski. He went awol for 9 months before resigning and signing a statement that I was a "vile and disgusting person". I have statements from 2 witnesses that Robert Mangarell harassed and abused me at the Jim Thorpe post office. A 3rd witness said they witnessed his abuse but refused to sign a statement for fear of retaliation.
MARY GOODHILE- I've seen alot of usps employees get away with things but I have never witnessed a usps employee get away with more than this coworker. Late to work everyday? Check. Drinking on the job? Check. Refusing to deliver mail? Check. Telling the Postmaster and clerks in charge to go fuck themselves when asked to do something? Check. Safety violations? Check. Driving a Postal vehicle without a valid license? Check. Bringing drugs onto Postal premises? Check. Taking out her bad mood on me and using me as a punching bag? Check, check, check. Oh and lets not forget, threatening to murder me in front of Postmaster Yaglowski without any consequences? Check.
I should really say when it comes to her temper, her and Robert Mangarell are 2 peas in the same pod. Mary Goodhile has spent the last 4 years using me as a punching bag in this office because she likes to play victim in her life, blame everyone else for her one million problems in her life and of course take it all out on me at work. And of course there are a group of a half dozen people at the Jim Thorpe post office who have been working together for over 10 years so they are all friends and look the other way anytime Mary Goodhile does something wrong.
Till this day she continues to say I should have never been allowed to come to this office and that her friend Robert Mangarell should have been made a regular and gotten my route. I have the route now that Mary Goodhile was on before my arrival to the Jim Thorpe post office. Not a single customer on my route has 1 good thing to say about this woman and most of them were aware of her drinking on the job.
Customers on her current route repeatedly complain about the lack of mail delivery and the yelling and cursing by her. Most employees in our office except that half dozen mob complain about her constantly. Even other employees from other offices complain about her when they are in our office to help. The consensus among us is our office runs so much smoother when she's not there because then we don't have to worry about babysitting a 56 year old woman.
Most of the people whose names I'm releasing here have known or been told at 1 point or another about her intoxication at work, including, Postmasters Torraco and Yaglowski, the Manager of Post Office Operations (MPOO) Christina Balliro, the Connygham Postmaster and assistant MPOO, Cambria Finneran, USPS inspector Sean Phillips, the office of inspector general and NALC officials from branch 274 Tina Weller and Chad Dreisbach. So for years on end, the public's safety in Jim Thorpe was put at risk due to lack of action by these people.
Those same 3 witnesses that witnessed Robert Mangarell's behavior also witnessed Mary Goodhile's abuse towards me. The USPS and the NALC (National Association of Letter Carriers) are extremely lucky I never decided to physically react to the abuse of these 2 coworkers because had I, I could easily show a judge and jury that my complaints were ignored for years by both the USPS and the NALC.
