Right now, I am speaking directly to those of you sitting in the shadows. I know the feeling—the heavy, suffocating fear of speaking up because you’re terrified of the retaliation that might follow. You are laying awake at night wondering if standing up for your basic human rights will cost you everything.

But I need you to hear this: You are not alone.

There are thousands of us feeling that same heartbeat of fear. But we have to ask ourselves: how much more of this burden are we willing to pile onto our children? If we stay silent now, we are teaching the future that if you aren't rich or powerful, you must simply "shut up and fall in place."

Is that the legacy we want to leave?

Why we must stand up now:

• Our Voices are Tools: We were given a voice, knowledge, and morals for a reason. They aren't meant to be tucked away; they are meant to be used as tools for justice.

• Leading by Example: The government and those in power watch our movements. When we are silent, they see compliance. When we speak, they see a movement.

• Breaking the Cycle: We have to lead by example so the next generation doesn't have to fight the same battles we were too afraid to finish.

I’m calling on the silent to come forward. It is time to be "sick of this." It’s time to realize that our collective voice is louder than the fear of retaliation. We are the ones who have to set the standard.
