For over 26 years, I have observed questionable conduct from Bessemer Utilities. This behavior was most apparent when, years ago, the Salvation Army generously wrote a check to cover my utility bill. Regrettably, the money never reached my account - instead, Bessemer Utilities reportedly gave it to another woman. I was powerless in combating this injustice and had to find other means to pay my bill.

This is not an isolated incident; it has come to my attention that many others in my neighborhood share similar experiences. A peculiar pattern has emerged – every February, our electric bills inexplicably triple despite no noticeable increase in usage. This unfair and unexplained price rise throws many households into turmoil. I met a woman who does not have a dryer or stove today and her bill was 500.00 just like mine. She is on Bessemer utilities also and has no way of paying this bill. This is criminal and those in power should help the poor. 

The rampant corruption in Bessemer Utilities is not an isolated issue. According to numbers from the Energy Information Administration, around 31% of U.S. households face difficulties in paying energy bills or adequately heating and cooling their homes. Injustice persists when we remain silent and do nothing.

To address these issues, we demand a thorough investigation into the activities and pricing policies of Bessemer Utilities.
