Various sources from inside the District Attorney’s office have confirmed that there were multiple allegations of sexual assault levied against ousted ADA Frank Middleton and that Timothy Cruz took no action on them and simply covered them up. One of the victims, ironically a young woman employed as a Victim / Witness advocate, has retained a lawyer. According to court documents, lawyers representing former ADA John Bradley in his pending Federal lawsuit against Cruz and Middleton aim to expose this scandal. Section 12 of EXECUTIVE ORDER 491 signed by former Governor Deval Patrick states: “Employers are directed to report acts of sexual assault, domestic violence or stalking and violations of restraining orders that occur in the workplace to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.” We the People DEMAND to see the report that Timothy Cruz filed with law enforcement regarding Frank Middleton’s alleged behavior. Mr. Cruz’s lawyers, Bert Cohen and Robert Sheridan ( financed by Massachusetts taxpayer dollars) have confirmed the existence of these allegations by stating that asking Timothy Cruz questions about them is “bad faith harassment”. They are “incendiary” and if made public “could arguably cause undue embarrassment and might be unfair should the allegations turn out to be false”. Funny, Timothy Cruz’s office levies allegations against individuals on a daily basis, many turning out to be unfair, false and causing undue embarrassment. Sorry Tim, the shoe may be on the other foot but you are not above the law. Covering up a workplace Sexual Assault? Not releasing the Racist Emails? Mr. Cruz, you must resign now.
