During Covid, patients were forced to undergo invasive nasal swabs.
Upon entry, delirious patients are given shoddy consent forms.
Violence abounds.
Parents grieve.
This is the America that many do not know, nor would they ever wish to know.
And apparently, these kind of centers are the best most of us have and can afford.
Addiction, a perilous disease that possesses once kind people into the sickest worst versions of themselves, leaving a wake of destruction in the paths of all family and friends.
On this Easter Sunday, say a prayer for those whose lives have been affected by this horrible condition, often made worse by older peers who set bad examples when it mattered most, in formative years. Or tv shows that set bad examples and programmed young viewers to mimic their destructive ways.
There are many factors to what kindles the destructive snowball of addiction, but one denominator remains the same: the risk is your life.
