Investigate alleged election fraud by EVMs in India
Investigate alleged election fraud by EVMs in India
The Issue
In recent years, concerns have been raised about the integrity of the electoral process in India. As citizens of the world's largest democracy, it is imperative that we trust the mechanisms that uphold our democratic values. However, suspicions regarding the manipulation and tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have cast a shadow over our electoral system, threatening the very foundation of our democracy.
The current Chief Election Commissioner, Mr. Gyanesh Kumar, is responsible for ensuring free and fair elections. Doubts have been raised about the possibility of EVM tampering under his watch, with some alleging that these machines have been used to alter voting outcomes. Given these accusations, it is crucial for the Election Commission of India to take immediate action to address these concerns transparently and efficiently.
Numerous reports and allegations suggest that EVMs might be vulnerable, raising the question of election results' authenticity. The Election Commission has repeatedly assured the public of EVM security. However, mere assurances aren't sufficient when allegations persist across multiple states, influencing millions of votes and potentially skewing election results in favor of certain parties.
Countries like Germany and the Netherlands have moved away from electronic voting due to security concerns, opting instead for paper ballots to ensure election integrity. It's time India re-evaluates its stance on this technology and considers alternative methods that restore public confidence in our electoral system.
We are not calling for distrust but for transparency and truth. It is in the best interest of all citizens that a comprehensive investigation is conducted, involving independent experts to verify the integrity and reliability of EVMs. Furthermore, adjusting the electoral process to incorporate verifiable paper trails or reverting to paper ballots could mitigate these issues.
This petition represents not just my voice, but the collective demand of the Indian citizenry for a trustworthy and uncorrupted electoral system. Let us stand together for a democratic India where every vote is accounted for and carries the weight it deserves.
Sign this petition to urge the Election Commission of India to take these allegations seriously and to work towards ensuring the complete transparency and fairness of our elections.
