The Thousand Islands Multi-Purpose Event Center will be a true year-round community hub for our kids and our economy. It will offer much more than sports and concerts. The center will host STEM and STEAM programs, esports, chess, academies, trade shows, family events, and provide places to eat and gather.

This is a well-studied plan with experienced partners already on the ground. It is projected to draw about 300,000 visitors a year, with many staying overnight, create around 80 new jobs, generate 142.5 million dollars in new economic activity within five years, and deliver about 12 million dollars in new tax revenue each year after that.

There is already 28 million dollars in private investment lined up, and the Watertown Airport has received 23 million dollars in improvements that are attracting new investors. The next step is 20 million dollars in state funding so private bonds can be sold and construction can begin.
